We have four events on offer in 2017

Hummingbird House Kids’ Dash /ages 9 & under / 5 minutes / $15 per child
Kartia Designs Junior Relay / ages 10-15 / 20 minute relay / $80 per team
Active and Healthy Social Relay / ages 12 & over /40 minute relay / $100 per team
Northside Family Law Open Relay / ages 16 & over / 2 hour relay / $160 per team
All events are run around the 250-metre (approx) Sandgate Roundabout, with road closures in place for the duration of the event.

All teams require 2-4 participants.  Every participant in every event receives a medal.

Places are limited for safety reasons, due to the course being a fairly small track.  Get in quick to secure your spot – 2016 was a sell-out!

Capacity is as follows:
Hummingbird House Kids’ Dash: 100 participants
Kartia Designs Junior Relay: 40 teams
Active and Healthy Social Relay: 60 teams
Northside Family Law Open Relay: 80 teams

– 1 runner from each team on track at any given time
– it’s up to each team how many laps each runner completes at a time
– it’s up to each team how many laps each team member runs
– teams will be allocated a transition bay at race pack collection: this is where you must changeover your baton each time

Location: Information Stand, in the Kids’ Zone, Brighton Rd (roads closed, pedestrian access only)

  • Hummingbird House Kids Dash: 4:00pm

    Kids aged 9 years and under will run the 250m course for 5 minutes, in a fun & encouraging atmosphere.  Parents are welcome to join the littlies on course.

  • Kartia Designs Junior Relay: 4:15pm

    Juniors aged between 10-15 will compete in teams of up to 4 people running as many laps of the 250m course as they can in 20 mins.  Prizes will be awarded for two age groups – 10-12 and 13-15.

  • Active & Healthy Social Relay: 4:45pm

    The Social Relay will see teams of up to 4 people aged 12 and over, compete for 40 minutes around the 250m course in a fun, social, family-friendly event – perfect for those who want to enjoy a more relaxed and less-competitive run.  This event will be capped at 60 teams.

  • Northside Family Law Open Relay: 6:00pm

    The main event is for ages 16+ with teams of up to 4 people completing as many laps of the 250m course as they can in 2 hours. It’s an event of stamina, tactics and fun! Hurry, this event is highly anticipated and this year, the cap has been brought down to 80 teams.
